What the "Big Game" Means for Substitute Teachers

Posted by Samantha Shaw on Jan 25, 2018 5:02:39 PM

The Monday after the "Big Game" tends to be an extremely popular day for staff absenteeism. This trend is felt nationwide, in all industries – and education is no exception. For substitute teachers, this means increased opportunity!

With a local team competing in the “Big Game” this year, we anticipate the need for substitutes to be at an all-time high on Monday, February 5th. If the local team wins, we expect this all-time high to carry over into Tuesday, February 6th (or possibly Wednesday the 7th), due to the celebratory parade.

We encourage our dedicated substitutes to accept assignments on these days to ensure our students experience the continuity in academic and support services that they need to succeed. As an added bonus, every employee who works these days will receive FIVE additional entries into our monthly raffle drawing – meaning a better chance to win one of the amazing prizes listed below!

With millions of Americans focusing their enthusiasm, excitement, and energy on the “Big Game,” ESS|Source4Teachers & MissionOne are focused on providing solutions to schools – today and every day – because Every Day Counts.
